You asked, we delivered! We’re back with another Mahj Point! This time, we’ve added an extra night to allow for easier travel and maximize your time in the Lowcountry.

For our Mahj Pointers who don’t play tennis, we’ve heard you! We added 8 spots for pickleball!

What to Expect

Join Palm & Proper Destination Co. and Holy Mahj for an exclusive tennis & mahjong and newly added pickleball retreat at The Sanctuary at Kiawah. With 24 tennis spots and only 8 pickleball, you’ll want to act fast!

Expect lots of fast-paced games and dynamic drills at The Roy Barth Tennis Center. Players will be divided by level. All levels encouraged!

By popular demand, we’ve added 8 pickleball spots! Led by the pros at Roy Barth, enjoy fast and fun clinics to improve your skills!

After crushing it on the court, delight in mahjong with cocktails and fabulous instruction and strategy by Holy Mahj. Prizes for winners! All levels encouraged but some mahjong experience is required.

$2,345.00 per person includes:

  • Three days of private tennis or pickleball clinics

The Sanctuary at Kiawah

  • We have a room block at The Sanctuary at Kiawah from Thursday, November 5, 2026 - Sunday, November 8, 2026.

  • The room rate is $475.00 plus tax per night. We also have limited three-bedroom villas are available for $255.00 plus tax a night.

  • Once registered, you will be sent a link to book you rooms. You must be registered before you can book your room.

How to Get There

Charleston International Airport (CHS)

The Sanctuary at Kiawah is about 40-45 minutes from Charleston International Airport. We can arrange airport transportation for an additional cost.

FAQS

Do I have to play both tennis and pickleball?
No! You'll choose either tennis or pickleball for the weekend.

Do I need to bring mahjong supplies?
No! We will provide everything for you. Including sets to borrow to play in your free time.

Can I share a room?
Absolutely. If you'd like to share accommodations, simply let us know when registering.

Do I have to stay at The Sanctuary?
Yes…we prefer guests to stay at The Sanctuary to fully enjoy the Mahj Point experience and connect with fellow attendees throughout the weekend.

Do I need experience with tennis/pickleball and mahjong?
Yes! A basic understanding of your chosen sport and mahjong is required so everyone can jump right in and enjoy the weekend.

What can I do on my free night?
Enjoy a relaxing evening your way! Liz and the Palm & Proper team can assist with dinner reservations, spa appointments, and other personalized experiences for an additional cost.
